17-Minute Anytime, Anywhere Flow to De-Stress + Pranayama Practice

17-Minute Anytime, Anywhere De-stress Flow and pranayama video image.png

Enjoy this short video that you should use anytime or anywhere. When stress makes us feel congested and crowded inside, it's time to let go of some of that holding and contraction.

Block or something like a block will be optional here. 

We concentrate on breathing in through the nose, followed by a powerful exhale through the mouth for an intentional letting go of stressful, fearful or nervous energy. 

With this flow, we work on moving the spine in all directions, igniting the line of energy along the spine. A couple of heart openers for igniting some energy when stress has caused fatigue. Also a little bit of hip-opening with malasana and cow's face to remove stuck energy there. 

Forward folding takes center stage as we move toward activating the parasympathetic nervous system. 

We cap it all off with Nadi Shodhan which is wonderful not only for relieving stress and calming the mind, but also for balancing both sides of the brain, creating an even and centered feeling in the body.

One thing I would like to say here is that Manduka is my favorite yoga brand. I’m using a different mat here because I keep my Manduka at the studio, but my favorite mat and all other props are all Manduka, coming from a yoga teacher who’s tried a lot of stuff. I get asked about yoga brands a lot, and this is my answer. Just saying.
